The hotel offers 24-hour coffee for free on the ground floor which is perfect for people travelling a long distance to the hotel and for those who would leave the hotel early in the morning for the airport. This service is therefore suitable for its location and its main purpose. There are a few nice restaurants and supermarkets next to the hotel which makes it extremely easy to look for food and souvenirs. Also, the prices of these services are reasonable.

We have stayed at the Park Inn on a number of occasions for travel to and from my wife’s family in Germany. It’s relatively easy to get to from the airport by bus and even by taxi is inexpensive. You could also walk to the hotel if need be. The rooms are standard enough but quite spacious and everything works well. If travelling with a child make sure to book a family room with an extra bed or else they’ll be sharing your bed. We were delighted that on our last visit there were tea and coffee facilities in the room for the first time. We have only eaten once in the restaurant and to be honest prefer going to ‘The Italian’ across the road which is great. Breakfast is just okay and could be improved upon. The scrambled egg was barely but there was still enough to keep you fed and it wasn’t crazy expensive either.

The hotel is 15 min walk to the terminal 2 of the airport, and the S-bahn (suburban train) stop is just behind the building, it is three stops to the city, or one stop to terminal 1. The locality is being developed into a gateway complex with hotels and restaurants, although it is still a work in progress. The hotel room was large and functional. There are coat hangers, suitcase stands, not much shelving but it is essentially a transfer hotel so one is not in a need to unpack a lot. Because of the locality at the airport it is doubtful if anyone would chose to stay here for more than 1-2 nights, yet arguably this could be a good pleasant stay for a business trip.

We stayed on a room located on a high floor with a park view. However, in our room next door was a guest staying with an infant that was rather noisy, sleeping proved impossible, which was a must as we had an early flight the next day. Front desk staff was very accommodating to our request and immediately assisted with a change of room located on the same floor. This allowed for a good nights sleep. We appreciate the forthcoming and helpful attitude of the reception staff on that evening.
